Amazon.com in Costa Rica

Amazon.com has been established in Costa Rica for several years where it now operates 4 service centers in Costa Rica with more than 28,000 m2 of office space and over 2,100 employees.

The Costa Rican operations of Amazon.com include customer service support, engineering and back office and software support.  The company recently announced that it was adding an additional 1,500 jobs in 2016-2017.

This additional commitment in Costa Rica by Amazon.com demonstrates the continued trust that the company has in the Costa Rican labor force. For many years Costa Rica has invested heavily in public education and bilingual education. This investment in the quality of its labor force has worked well for Costa Rica. According to the Costa Rican Investment Development Agency (CINDE) the services industry has generated 34,000 jobs for Costa Rica spread over 104 companies operating in Costa Rica.

With the company’s expansion and the ongoing hiring of staff any interested persons may visit www.amazon.com/jobs for job information.
